Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala or Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls

Early morning pickup from Kampala or Entebbe and begin the journey north towards Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Enjoy Uganda’s countryside scenery along the way.

Upon arrival at Ziwa, take part in a guided rhino tracking experience, walking through the sanctuary with trained rangers in search of Uganda’s southern white rhinos. Learn about rhino conservation and the sanctuary’s role in protecting this important species.

After the experience, continue towards Murchison Falls National Park with lunch en route.

Enter the park and proceed to your lodge, enjoying the scenery and possible wildlife sightings along the way.

Day 2: Murchison Falls – Morning Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise

Wake up early for breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park.

Explore the savannah in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and, with luck, lions and leopards.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. Watch hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks while enjoying excellent opportunities for photographing waterbirds and other wildlife.

Return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Game Drive and Top of the Falls

After breakfast, set out for another game drive, exploring a different section of the park and increasing your chances of encountering wildlife.

Depending on the route and season, you may encounter:

African elephants
Rothschild’s giraffes
Cape buffaloes
Jackson’s hartebeest
Uganda kob
Waterbucks
Warthogs
Lions
Leopards

After lunch, visit the spectacular Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow gorge before plunging downstream.

Enjoy panoramic views and photography before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kampala or Entebbe

Enjoy an early breakfast before checking out and beginning your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.

Drive through the park, providing another opportunity for wildlife sightings before exiting the conservation area.

Continue southwards with lunch en route and arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening.
